  Having a mannequin that is adjusted to your size when sewing a project can be a game changer. 

To be able to put the garment on the mannequin, and make adjustments without having to try to do this when you are wearing the garment will guarantee that you will be happier with the fit.


There are various types of mannequins however the first step is the measure your bust waist and hips.

Mannequins are adjustable so you need to ensure that is going to adjust to your size.

BUT if the mannequin does not fit one part of your body you can pad this part of the mannequin to fit your measurements.

Do they have a sample erected in the store that you can check the adjustments, if they size adjustments are hard to turn this can cause them to break after a short use.

You get what you pay for low price point EG; $99 usually of poor quality and will not last.  Expect to pay $250 and up for something that will.
